Overview

Vonoto provides PDF, document, image, QR, OCR, audio, video, and smart document tools on the web and in the mobile app.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, why we process it, how long it is kept, and how users can request deletion. It is intended to support website use, Google Play review, and Huawei AppGallery review.

Files You Upload

When you use a file tool, the selected file may be uploaded to Vonoto servers only to complete the operation you requested, such as converting Word, Excel, or PowerPoint to PDF, compressing a PDF, generating OCR text, or processing audio and video.

The mobile app uses the Android document picker and shared-file intents. It does not request broad all-files storage access. Files are not uploaded until you choose a tool or open a file with Vonoto.

Some features can work locally, but server tools may be required for LibreOffice conversion, Poppler, OCR, FFmpeg, AI tools, and other processing that needs backend software.

Temporary Storage

Uploaded files and generated results are temporary by default. They are kept only long enough to process the request and allow you to download or open the result.

Vonoto is designed to delete temporary processing files automatically, normally within 2 days.

If a cloud history feature is enabled, a result may be linked to your account only when you sign in with your email or choose to save or sync history. You can request deletion of cloud history and account data.

Account, Cloud History, and Email

If you use the optional cloud service in the mobile app, Vonoto may store your email address, plan, credit balance, app installation identifier, tool history, timestamps, file names, file types, sizes, and result links.

This data is used to provide cross-device history, credits, subscriptions, support, abuse prevention, and account deletion.

Email confirmation may not be required during early testing, but your email is still used to identify your cloud profile.

AI and Smart Document Tools

Smart features such as Chat with PDF, Summarize PDF, Translate PDF, Rewrite Text, Grammar Fix, Explain Document, Extract Tables, and Generate Quiz may extract text from your file and send it to configured AI providers to generate the requested response.

AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should review results before using them for legal, financial, medical, or other important decisions.

Do not upload confidential or highly sensitive documents to smart tools unless you are comfortable with online processing.

Speech, OCR, Image, Audio, and Video Processing

Speech-to-text may send audio or video files to a transcription provider such as AssemblyAI or another configured service.

OCR may process images or PDFs to extract text. Image, audio, and video tools may use server-side libraries or APIs to create output files.

These providers process data only for the requested feature according to their own terms and privacy practices.

Subscriptions, Credits, and Purchases

The mobile app may offer free credits, rewarded ads, and paid plans such as Basic Pro and Premium Pro.

Google Play Billing or other app store billing systems handle payment details. Vonoto does not receive your full card number.

Vonoto may verify purchases with Google Play or the relevant app store through a secure backend or Supabase function, then update your plan, credits, speech minutes, and ad-free status.

Advertising and Advertising ID

Free users may see banner, rewarded, or interstitial ads. Rewarded ads are optional and grant the displayed reward only after successful ad completion.

On Android, the app may use the Google Advertising ID permission (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) for advertising, measurement, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and compliance with Google Mobile Ads.

Pro users should not see ads while their subscription is active. Ad partners may process device identifiers, approximate location, app activity, and ad interaction data according to their own privacy policies.

Analytics and Diagnostics

Vonoto may use analytics and diagnostics to understand page views, app usage, tool success rates, failed uploads, crashes, performance, and abuse attempts.

Analytics help improve the product, detect errors, and prioritize tools. We avoid collecting unnecessary personal data.

Permissions

Internet access is required for server tools, cloud history, AI features, ads, subscriptions, and analytics.

Camera access is requested only when you use camera-based features such as QR scanning or scan-to-PDF. You can deny camera permission and continue using other tools.

The app relies on Android document picker and sharing flows instead of broad storage permissions. Do not grant permissions you do not want to use.

Children

Vonoto is a productivity tool and is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law.

If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

Security

Vonoto uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect files and account data during processing.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should avoid uploading documents they are not comfortable processing online.

Your Choices and Deletion Requests

You may delete local history from the app. If cloud history is enabled, you may request deletion of cloud history, saved result links, profile data, and account data.

For privacy, support, data access, or deletion requests, contact contact@vonoto.com. Include the email used in the app so we can locate the account.

Deleting cloud data may remove access to synced history, saved results, and plan-related account records where deletion is legally permitted.

International Processing

Vonoto may process data on servers, cloud platforms, app store services, analytics providers, advertising networks, and AI providers located in different countries.

By using Vonoto, you understand that data may be processed outside your country when necessary to provide the requested service.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Vonoto adds new tools, subscriptions, ads, cloud features, or providers.

The latest version will be available on this page.
